Vail Village, Lionshead and Cascade Village are the core areas of the ski resort where the restaurants, shops, lodges and lifts are located. The Village and Lionshead are separated by about a half mile, both have a gondola, ski lifts & a parking structure and there is a free bus running continuously between these areas. The area has some high-end single family and duplex residences but has mostly condominiums.   Vail is a home rule municipality in Eagle County, Colorado, United States.  The population of the town was 4,835 in 2020.   Home to Vail Ski Resort, the largest ski mountain in Colorado, the town is known for its hotels, dining, and for the numerous events the city hosts annually, such as the Vail Film Festival, Vail Resorts Snow Days, and Bravo!
